We love the New Year because it is a time of reflection and looking ahead to the future. 2013 was a good one. We moved to downtown Seattle this year (so long, burbs!), Julia completed her first year of design school, and illustrated her first book, we welcomed a new baby niece and nephew, sold a car and starting walking a lot more, went on as many road trips and camping trips as possible, Yuriy learned to fly fish, Julia learned to make good coffee, we celebrated 3 years of marriage, traveled to Iceland, and experienced the the busiest year yet with photography.

To reflect on an amazing year, we wanted to share a sampling of what we photographed this past year (although regretfully we couldn’t include everything/everyone). We have been blessed beyond belief by our clients, friends, family, and God in 2013. Thank you to everyone who let us point a camera at you and take your photo–it’s truly an honor and a joy to document your lives and your young 2013 faces.

It’s crazy to think that some of our best memories, favorite road trips, and life-changing experiences are yet to come. Some of our closest friends haven’t entered our lives yet. Our babies haven’t been born yet, and the world hasn’t been fully explored. There is so much to look forward to! Cheers to 2014, friends!
