Julie + Eugene Married | Auburn, WA

Julie and Eugene are good friends of ours and we were overjoyed to photograph their wedding last summer. The more married friends the better! It was one of the hottest days of the summer here in Seattle, everyone was in high spirits (naturally), and we all enjoyed being outdoors on a big green lawn for this happy occasion. The bride and groom both have such winning smiles and they were grinning all day. You’ll see what I mean.

Kelly Flatt - Wonderful photos!
There’s always a still peacefulness to your photos, like time stands still. Having been a second shooter on a few weddings, I know how hectic it can be. What is your secret for slowing down and getting those perfect shots?

Irina + Alex Married | Eagle, Idaho

Irina and I have been good friends since middle school when our lockers were right next to each other, we wrote far too many notes in class, and had sleepovers on school nights. She was my first roommate when I moved to Seattle and I love her for coming along with me. I always wondered why she wasn’t snatched up yet by a guy, because she is one of the coolest girls I know. Then came along a lad named Alex and he didn’t mess around… a few months of dating, a few months of engagement, and in less than a year, my girl was married!

The wedding took place at a winery in the countryside of Eagle, Idaho. It was a perfect summery day for an outdoor wedding. The next day we took some more photos in nearby fields and farms… Idaho makes it pretty darn easy. It’s an absolute honor to photograph the wedding of a close friend, knowing they trust you, and this was no exception.

See their Seattle engagement session here.
