It’s hard to put one of your favorites days into words. We adore Whistler and when we were asked by Carly and Brendan to shoot their wedding in Whistler, we were so excited. Then they told us they’d bring their wooden canoe and go for a paddle around the lake, and we could hardly wait. You might remember their amazing engagement shoot on top of a wet foggy mountain. Yeah, the couple who hiked 5 miles during their engagement photos.

The wedding was a dream. It was brilliant and sunny during the day when Carly and Brendan went out on the water and when they said their vows on the banks of the lake. Shortly after everyone went inside the lodge for the reception, it absolutely poured outside. It felt amazing to be eating dinner in a cozy lodge while the rained pounded on the roof and streamed down the windows. But of course, that’s not the end. Because the sun peaked out again and we all went back outside after dessert to enjoy a beautiful rainbow over the mountains. There were so many laughs and so much good dancing. Most of the guests stayed overnight in the lodge where the wedding was held or in the nearby Whistler village, and I would bet it was the best wedding they ever attended.

The bride is a graphic designer and she was the brains behind the fantastic wedding branding and decor.
